Researchers of the Department of Acoustics publish

An article entitled Biocompatible Hydrogel-Based Liquid Marbles with Magnetosomes by Rafal Bielas, Tomasz Kubiak and Arkadiusz Jozefczak from our Department of Acoustics in collaboration with Bernadeta Dobosz (WF UAM) and employees of the Institute of Experimental Physics of the Slovak Academy of Sciences in Košice (Matusz Molcan and Michal Rajnak) was published on Christmas Eve morning (as a Christmas gift?).

The paper demonstrates the possibility of using special magnetic particles (so-called magnetosomes) from magnetic bacteria to produce liquid marbles and various ways of manipulating such formed structures in the context of future biomedical applications. The paper has been published in open access, so we invite anyone interested to read it.
