Research Interests
In my research, I have addressed the following topics:
1. Psychoacoustics, hearing impairment issues, modeling of the basilar membrane of the cochlea.
2. Vibrations of speaker systems and membranes, and numerical modeling of their directional characteristics.
3. Acoustic assistance for individuals with visual and hearing impairments.
I have led or been the executor of several projects funded by NCN and NCBiR, including: Development of a method for teaching spatial orientation in a large city for the visually impaired using environmental sounds (NCBiR N R11 0008 04); Development of a method for identifying dangerous and particularly significant urban areas for the visually impaired using wave-vibration markers (NCBiR N R17 0017 06); Study of the impact of auditory training on selected hearing skills in children and adolescents with visual impairment (NCN 2012/05/B/HS6/03863).
I have completed international internships at the University of Cambridge, Universität der Bundeswehr München, Germany, and the University of Applied Sciences, Merseburg, Germany.
I have been and continue to be the main organizer and co-organizer of the Congress on Sound Perception and of the conferences on Acoustics in Audiology and Phoniatrics.
