Thursday, 14:00 – 15:00

Research Interests:
His main research interests are:
- the physics of magnetic nanoparticles, magnetic fluids, and tissue-mimicking phantoms,
- the ultrasonic properties of liquids, suspensions, Pickering emulsions, and phantoms,
- the hyperthermal properties of magnetic particles, magnetosomes, and ferrogels under the influence of an external alternating magnetic field and ultrasonics,
- ultrasonic theranostics.
Author of 95 scientific articles (75 indexed in Web of Science, 80 indexed in SCOPUS), cited over 900 times. His most important achievements have been published in renowned scientific journals such as: Nature Communications, ACS Applied Materials & Interfaces, Measurement, Theranostics, Applied Physics Letters, Materials.
He has participated in the work of 13 research teams implementing projects financed through national or international competitions. In 4 NCN projects, he served as the project leader (OPUS, PRELUDIUM BIS).
He has undertaken numerous short-term research internships. His most important internships were at the Department of Physics, Norwegian University of Science and Technology, Trondheim, and at the Institute of Experimental Physics, The Slovak Academy of Sciences in Košice. His stays at foreign institutions resulted in numerous publications.
He is actively involved in the Polish Acoustical Society. He has been an organizer and co-organizer of many events and conferences, including the Open Acoustics Seminar (2012, 2019).
For his scientific and organizational achievements, he has received numerous awards and honors:
- The Medal of the Polish Acoustical Society (PTA) named after Marek Kwiek, 2017,
- Commemorative medal of IEP SAS Košice for a creatively fruitful long-term cooperation in the field of acoustic and hyperthermal properties of magnetic fluids, 2018,
- The Rector’s Award of UAM for achievements in scientific research (2003, 2005, 2012, 2014, 2017, 2018, 2021, 2022).
Teaching Activities:
As part of his teaching activities, he established a laboratory for second-year students of the Sound Direction program – the “Electroacoustics Laboratory”.
During his work as an academic teacher, he has taught and continues to teach laboratory classes (Second Physical Laboratory, Electroacoustics Laboratory, Hearing Aid Repair Laboratory, Master’s Laboratory), computational exercises (Theory of Vibrations, Electrical Engineering, Electroacoustic Transducers) as well as lectures (Electroacoustic Transducers).
Before obtaining his habilitation, he supervised several master’s theses and was the advisor for 2 bachelor’s theses. After obtaining his habilitation, he supervised 12 master’s theses in the field of “Acoustics” and 39 bachelor’s theses in the field of “Sound Direction”.
He also mentored candidates for doctoral degrees, serving as both advisor and co-advisor in four doctoral dissertations.
