Research Interests
- His main research interests are related to the generation and propagation of noise from various environmental noise sources under different meteorological conditions. His interests also focus on selected methods for reducing road noise – primarily quiet road surfaces.
- In recent years, his interests have also included hearing aids, particularly the selection and fitting of hearing aids as well as methods for verifying and validating the fitting process.
Key Achievements
- 2000: Obtained a Ph.D. in Physical Sciences based on the thesis “Linear Source in Motion – Generation and Propagation of Railway Noise”.
- Serving as the Head of the Department of Acoustics at UAM.
- 2015: Obtained the habilitation degree in Physical Sciences based on the dissertation “Forecasting Road Noise”.
- 2021: Serving as the President of the Polish Association of Hearing Aid Specialists, actively involved in the association’s activities.
- 2023: Serving as the Dean of the Faculty of Physics at Adam Mickiewicz University in Poznań.
- 2024: Initiated the change of the name of the Faculty of Physics to the Faculty of Physics and Astronomy, emphasizing the importance of astronomical research.
