Research Interests

Jan Felcyn specializes in research on noise annoyance, with a particular focus on the urban environment. He is interested in:

  • Total annoyance resulting from the overlap of several noise sources.
  • The impact of non-acoustic factors on noise assessments.
  • Digital processing of acoustic signals.
  • Strategic noise management and soundscape.
  • Modern methods of statistical analysis.

Key Achievements

  • Author of 9 publications in peer-reviewed scientific journals.
  • Participation in numerous scientific conferences.
  • Leader of the Preludium grant and contributor in three other research projects.
  • Popularization activities: media interviews and lectures for Poznań school students.
  • Multiple lecturer at the Soundedit festival for music producers in Łódź.
